Inside automaited: Building the easiest way to automate any task
The Beginning
It was an ordinary after-work beer for the founders of automaited, Eric Marre, Alex Schwabauer, and Denis Golovin. During that evening, they realized a massive challenge. There were significant problems with the automation of short and recurring processes today. They decided to find a solution to this problem, and that's how automaited was born.
All three founders are graduates of RWTH Aachen University. Experts in different fields such as computer science and environmental engineering. Denis and Eric collected many years of professional experience in software engineering. Alexander deepened his knowledge on artificial intelligence and machine learning.
All founders were mentees of Wil van der Aalst, a thought leader and pioneer in the research and application of process mining. Their collaboration with the chair of Process and Data Science at RWTH Aachen University provided tailwind. They had access to current research findings and the opportunity to test new technologies.
Taking shape
The startup became a member of digitalHUB Aachen e.V. in 2020 . The team successfully participated in various events and programs, including "Meet the Startups Euregio" and the digitalHUB Aachen Incubation Program 20/21.
Quickly the team was pre-seed funded from TechVision Fonds I, Visionaries Club, and other business angels at the beginning of 2021.
Shortly after the startup secured four million in seed funding. The round included Berlin-based venture capitalist Headline, which has investments in Sonos, Bumble, and Gopuff, among others. Early stage investor Northzone also got in on the action.
The startup began to gain traction. The team was growing. Its mission to automate short, changing, and recurring processes started to take shape.

In 2022, the original three founders got to know Patrick Müller through a friend. They connected through many late-night brainstorming sessions. Eric, Denis, and Alexander realized that Patrick would be a great addition to the team.
Patrick had a background in business and technology from TU Munich. Worked for the Boston Consulting Group and GetYourGuide. In 2023, Patrick joined automaited as co-founder with a focus on commercial topics.
With the founder quartett, automaited developed even faster. The company's automation solutions helps businesses improve efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize processes. The founders' passion, combined with their expertise, now drive the growth of automaited.
The company is becoming a success story, inspiring others to follow in their footsteps and take on the challenges of automation.
